Black Friday Terms and Conditions

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1.This Promotion is offered by Planet Fitness (Pty) Ltd 2002/006750/07, herein referred to as “Planet Fitness”.

1.2.This Promotion is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

2. PROMOTION OVERVIEW AND PERIOD

2.1.The Planet Fitness “Black Friday 2026 – Public R199 x 3 Months” Promotion (“the Promotion”) is offered by Planet Fitness to eligible new Public/Retail members.

2.2.The Promotion Period runs from 23 November 2026 to 30 November 2026 (“the Promotion Period”). The advertised Black Friday period runs from 27 November 2026 to 30 November 2026; however, qualifying Members may join from 23 November 2026.

2.3.No extensions of the Promotion Period shall apply unless formally communicated by Planet Fitness in writing.

2.4.Participation in this Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, together with the Planet Fitness Standard Membership Terms and Conditions and Club Rules and Regulations.

3. ELIGIBILITY

3.1.The Promotion is available to qualifying new Public/Retail members only.

3.2.The Promotion applies to qualifying 12-month and 24-month Local Club and National memberships.

3.3.A valid South African ID, Driver’s Licence, or passport must be presented as proof of identity.

3.4.Scholar, Student, Pensioner, Limited, Corporate and PIF (Paid in Full) memberships are excluded from this Promotion.

3.5.Medical Aid and Partner memberships, including Discovery Vitality, Sanlam Reality, Momentum Multiply and Bonitas B-Value, are excluded from this Promotion.

3.6.Existing active Planet Fitness members are excluded.

3.7.Members already receiving another promotion, discounted package, free period or promotional benefit are excluded. Each membership may benefit from only one promotional offer at a time.

3.8.The Promotion is not available at JustGym clubs.

4. THE PROMOTIONAL OFFER

4.1.Qualifying Members will pay R0 (zero rand) pro-rata Membership Fees for November 2026.

4.2.The Joining Fee is R0 (zero rand).

4.3.A R150 (one hundred and fifty rand) access tag fee remains payable upon joining.

4.4.The Membership Fee for December 2026 is R199 (one hundred and ninety-nine rand).

4.5.The Membership Fee for January 2027 is R199 (one hundred and ninety-nine rand).

4.6.The Membership Fee for February 2027 is R199 (one hundred and ninety-nine rand).

4.7.From 1 March 2027, the Member’s normal contractual retail Membership Fee applies.

4.8.The Promotion is a fixed promotional Membership Fee of R199 for December 2026, January 2027 and February 2027 and is not a percentage discount.

4.9.The Promotion may not be combined with any other discount, promotion, free period or offer.

4.10.The Promotion is non-transferable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash.

5. FEES AND PAYMENT STRUCTURE

5.1.Membership fees are payable by debit order in accordance with the Member’s Membership Agreement.

5.2.No pro-rata Membership Fee is collected for November 2026.

5.3.R199 is collected on the Member’s applicable debit-order date in December 2026, January 2027 and February 2027.

5.4.The normal contractual retail Membership Fee applies from 1 March 2027 and will be collected in the applicable billing cycle in accordance with the Membership Agreement.

5.5.Membership fees remain subject to the annual escalation provisions contained in the Planet Fitness Standard Membership Terms and Conditions.

5.6.All other applicable fees and charges not expressly waived by this Promotion remain payable in accordance with the Membership Agreement.

6. PROMOTIONAL ADDENDUM

6.1.Qualifying Members will receive a promotional addendum confirming the promotional fees and the date from which the normal contractual retail Membership Fee applies.

6.2.The promotional addendum forms part of the Member’s Membership Agreement.

7. COOLING-OFF RIGHTS

7.1.A 5 (five) Business Day cooling-off period applies in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (“CPA”).

7.2.Notice of cancellation during the cooling-off period must be submitted in writing.

7.3.Refunds shall be processed in accordance with the Planet Fitness Standard Membership Terms and Conditions.

7.4.The access tag fee will only be refunded if the access tag is returned to Planet Fitness.

8. FIXED TERM AND CANCELLATION

8.1.The Promotion applies only to the qualifying fixed-term memberships specified in these Terms and Conditions.

8.2.Early cancellation will attract penalties in accordance with Section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (“CPA”).

8.3.After completion of the fixed term, memberships continue on a month-to-month basis, subject to one full calendar month’s written notice for cancellation.

9. DATA PROTECTION

9.1.By participating in this Promotion, Members consent to the processing of their personal information for purposes of membership activation, validation, administration and billing.

9.2.All personal information will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and the Planet Fitness Privacy Policy.

10. LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

10.1.This Promotion is subject to successful membership compliance and the eligibility requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.

10.2.This Promotion is not retrospective and applies only to memberships concluded during the Promotion Period.

11. GOVERNING LAW

11.1.These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

11.2.Any dispute arising from this Promotion shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. RIGHT TO AMEND

12.1.Planet Fitness reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this Promotion at any time, subject to applicable law and reasonable notice.

12.2.Notice of any amendment shall be communicated via the Planet Fitness website, official communication channels, or email where applicable.
