A user's consent for Planet Fitness to use Cookies and place these Cookies on your device will always be requested when Planet Fitness uses Performance/Analytics, Functionality, and Targeting/Marketing tracking. The user can give his/her consent by clicking on the "Accept All" button on the Cookie Banner that is displayed when a user accesses any of Planet Fitness's websites. Every time a user accesses our website the Cookie Banner will appear.

In this section the Activation and the Management of Cookies is outlined.

Cookie Activation

Cookies that are placed on a user's device are activated by the user clicking the "Accept All" button that is part of the Cookie Banner. The Cookie Banner will appear every time a user opens our website(s). When a user clicks "Accept All", all the Cookie types i.e. "Strictly Necessary", "Performance/Analytics", "Functionality", and "Targeting/Marketing" are activated on the user's device.

Cookie Management

Cookies can be managed on a user device by either clicking the "Manage Consent Preferences" button that is part of the Cookie Banner, clicking the Cookie Settings link in the Footer of our website(s), or by using the browser settings that are part of the browser being used.

Manage Consent Preferences

Every time a user visits our websites the Cookie Banner will appear. This banner enables the user to click a button that opens a "Manage Consent Preferences" pop-up. This pop-up allows the user to turn off Cookies he/she does not want to be activated.

Cookie Settings Feature

If a user wants to change his/her Cookie Preferences at any time, he/she can click the "Cookie Settings" link found on the footer of any of our website(s). This link will open the "Manage Consent Preferences" pop-up that is used to edit the different Cookies a user wants to allow and/or disallow.

Browser Settings

Web Browsers allow control of Cookies through the browser settings. However, if the user uses his/her browser settings to block all Cookies, which includes Strictly Necessary Cookies, the user will render our website(s) to be inoperable or encounter a suboptimal experience. Although POPIA does not explicitly mention Cookies, POPIA does apply in instances where the Cookies collected may contain Personal Information or Identifiers. When the user of any of our website(s) clicks the "Accept All" button, the user explicitly allows Planet Fitness to gather and collect personal information as defined by POPIA.
